Imperfects is looking for a highly-motivated human with proven design solutions and an online portfolio that demonstrates a wealth of development experience, as well as an excellent eye for design, including: design thinking, prototyping, wireframing, web architecture (including stack planning & management) and troubleshooting. Experience with digital-first brands and creating best in class ecommerce UI-UX experiences for both web and mobile is required.
As UI-UX Designer you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, on-brand, scalable UI-UX solutions in a timely manner by iterating on existing creative work while influencing the company’s overall UI-UX strategy and planning for the direction of future designs. You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience across multiple client/guest touchpoints are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
This is a hands-on design and development role, and requires a self-starter who thrives in personal time management to meet fast paced ever changing deadlines. The successful candidate will evidence a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UI-UX design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.

Up to the task? Here’s a taste of the responsibilities:
Gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with our creative department and product teams.
Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets.
Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI-UX design strategy for the brand.
Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.
Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.
Collaborating with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.
Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior.
Be a champion for our brand. From doing the simple things like adhering to style standards on fonts, colors and images and by helping guide the direction of the brand in the future.
Staying inspired and hungry by constantly updating your style library and digital vernacular.
This job might be for you if you’ve got:
A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent technical professional experience, and a minimum of 3-5 years proven work experience as a UI-UX Designer or similar role for digital products or services.
A digital portfolio of professional UI-UX design work for both web and mobile platforms which we can see and discuss.
Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Shopify & Shopify Plus Platforms, Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Team spirit - strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
A team player but can work independently too.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
