The Imperfects x Anna Dulaney Collection
Anna Dulaney. Where do we start? Entrepreneur, woman business owner, graphic designer, surfer, dog lover, feminist, humanitarian, you name it. We are honored to collaborate with Miss Anna Dulaney on her “Tougher Than The Rest” Cowgirl.
Anna resides in Santa Barbara, CA where she runs a small screen-printing and design studio with her business partner Maddie, that they call Loud Flower. The two started this small passion driven concept with a mission to create purpose-driven, celebratory art that inspires positivity and belonging.
“Tougher Than The Rest is this everlasting thing of softness being toughness and compassion being one of humanity's biggest strengths.”

The “Tougher Than The Rest” Cowgirl is a symbolism of many things. In specific, it is meant to spread the word of courage in a way that normalizes vulnerability. It is good to cry, speak up, ask for help, and spread the word of emotional literacy so that we as a people can be better together. As Anna put it, “We as a society can do better that the path of least resistance.” It is a an absolute pleasure to be able to help Anna spread her message that she speaks through her art and let it be a vehicle for change and progression in today’s judgmental landscape.
“We need to fight the idea that being vulnerable and showing emotion are bad things. Emotion lets us witness one another be us, which is fundamentally human.”

Anna and Imperfects would like to give a massive shout out to Garrett and the kind folks over at High Desert Print Co. for the amazing embroidery and screen-printing on the garments. It’s one thing to picture a dream and High Desert Print Co. completely brought it to life.

A portion of all proceeds from this Imperfects x DJ Javier collaboration will go to the Children’s Creative Project.
Children’s Creative Project is a non-profit organization that provides students from kindergarten to 12th grade across Santa Barbara County with access to diverse and multicultural arts experiences exposing them to historic traditions and contemporary practices of both visual and performing artists.
The organization also serves schools in San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties. CCP is close to DJ’s heart as he has worked with CCP and has experienced the value of their programs first hand.
